Video footage from ChicagØ 2010 will eventually be posted. Until then, you can still watch these videos from ChicagØ 2009:

Journey to the End of the Night is a free street game of epic proportion, presented twice now in Chicago by CGØ. It is a pursuit across the city in 6 parts: players will try to make it through a series of checkpoints, while avoiding being caught by chasers. Those who fall will become chasers themselves, rising to pursue their former friends and allies. No skates, no bikes, no cars, just your feet and the good old public transportation.

  • J.E.N. ChicagØ 2010 was played on the night of Saturday, May 1st, 2010.

THE TROPHIES

Needless to say, the most precious trophy was players' sweat-stained, tattered maps... but in order to encourage extraordinary adventure, two hand-sculpted, one-of-a-kind trophies were created by artist/Check Point 2 Agent, Megin Wardel.

RUNNER AWARDS

All players to cross the finish line with a complete map received a BADGE OF MERIT.

Steven Sweeney, the first player to arrive at the finish line (71 minutes) with a complete map took home the RUNNER TROPHY:

CHASER AWARDS

All Chasers who arrived at the finish line with at least one catch received a BADGE OF VALOR.

"Tom Kay" Kotsakos, the Chaser with the most catches (18), took home the CHASER TROPHY:

CGØ is the Chicago consistory of SFØ, an international grassroots collective living in a world of anti-consumerist entertainment.

Journey to the End of the Night ChicagØ is a $0 budget, not-for-profit project, presented entirely by volunteers without any kind of sponsorship.

Because this event is out of our pockets, please consider
donating even just a little to help us recoup the costs of
trophy manufacturing, ribbon purchase, printing costs,
entertainment costs, and venue costs.

The aim of these projects is liberty through genuinely free, self-conscious, authentic play.

Journey has been presented over 15 times since 2006 by local organizers in Manhattan, Brooklyn, London, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Chicago, San Francisco, and Vienna.
